Minor Characters in The Medium can include characters involved in the game's collectibles, mentioned by other characters, or interacted through Marianne's exorcisms while in the Spiritual World.
Mrs. Rekowicz[]
Mrs. Rekowicz (neé unknown) was the mother of Marianne and Lily and the wife of Thomas Rekowicz. It is unknown how she died but at one point in the game Marianne tells Sadness that "my parents got in a car crash when I was very little." It is possible that this isn't true and that Mrs. Rekowicz died under other circumstances, considering that Marianne was initially unaware that Thomas was her biological father. It's hinted by Lilianne that she died in childbirth, as she says Marianne took her away. However, Lilianne is the only testifier to this fate of her mother.
Francis[]
Francis was the groundskeeper of The Niwa Resort. He spent time writing postcards to his "love," asking them to come to the Niwa Resort. These cards can be found as collectibles in the game. It is possible that at one point he was possessed by the The Maw, as some of his postcards allude to the Niwa Massacre and how he enjoyed it.
Dog[]
This unknown dog is first encountered by Marianne in the forest, soon after she leaves the Niwa Resort. She hears the dog barking and follows him back to a campsite along with some dog food. She follows the dog to a corpse, who possibly was his owner. When Marianna is getting haunted by The Maw in the forest, the dog runs off and isn't seen again for the remainder of the game.
